It's Who We Are

Texas 28th Group was the brainchild of two Army veterans and close friends who had faced their fair share of trials and tribulations after leaving the military. They had both served on active duty and knew how different life outside the military could be. As they struggled to adjust to civilian life, they realized that there was a need for an organization that could help veterans transition smoothly and offer them the resources they needed to succeed. On October 10, 2023, their idea finally came to fruition and Texas 28th Group was formed. The organization was created with the aim of encouraging education and assisting veteran residents of Texas. They wanted to provide the latest and greatest resources and benefits available to Texas veterans, making sure that their service to the country was never forgotten. But Texas 28th Group was more than just an organization. It was a community, a family, a dream curated from the best and worst parts of military service and separation. The founders wanted to create a nourishing, positive, and comradery-type environment that resembled the best parts of military service. They knew how important it was for veterans to feel a sense of belonging and to have a support system that understood their struggles. Texas 28th Group also welcomed the civilian community to interact with them. They saw the civilian community as family, friends, and neighbors to the brave men and women who had served the country. Bringing these two communities together was important to them, as it helped bridge the gap between veterans and civilians and fostered a deeper understanding and appreciation for each other. As the organization grew, so did its impact. Texas 28th Group became a beacon of hope for veterans in Texas, providing them with the support they needed to thrive. The founders knew that their journey was just beginning, and they were excited to see where their dream would take them.

When she turned 18, she decided to join the Army as a 14HY7 Air Defense Enhanced Early Warning System Operator. She attended basic combat training and advanced individual training, where she learned various skills that would serve her well in her military career. Hannah served her country from 2016 to 2023 and was stationed in South Korea, Fort Hood, and Germany. She also went on a deployment to Kuwait in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

Despite her busy schedule, Hannah always makes time for her hobbies. She enjoys photography, soap making, crocheting, writing, and traveling. She especially loves spending time with her family, which includes the two founding members of Texas 28th Veterans. Hannah is certified in infant, child, and adult CPR, first aid and AED, TABC, OSHA, and CLS. She also has an associate's degree in general studies, and a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Maryland Global Campus, and is currently pursuing her master's degree, which she will complete in 2026.

As a born and raised Texan and veteran, Hannah has seen firsthand the struggles that new veterans face. She decided to create a company to make a change within the veteran community. As the company's president, she knows she needs trustworthy people to help her achieve her goal. So, she enlisted Donald Narvell as the treasurer and Joshua Coker as her secretary. Hannah is driven to better the lives of veterans and will continue to further her education while educating others on their benefits and resources through the great state of Texas.

Hannah's dedication to serving her country and her community is truly inspiring. She has accomplished so much in her young life and is determined to make a difference in the lives of others. Her passion for helping veterans is evident in everything she does, and she is a true role model for everyone who knows her.
